FAQs about Giving.

How can I contribute to The Parish School?

The Parish School operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; therefore gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law.  The School can accept the following types of gifts:

  1. Cash. You may simply write a check payable to The Parish School for the entire pledge or the school can prorate the gift over the school year or longer, depending on the campaign.

  2. Credit Card. Your can charge your gift to any credit card or authorize a monthly or quarterly charge to your account.

  3. Securities. Individuals may donate appreciated stock or mutual funds to the Parish School. Such gifts can have significant tax advantages over cash. The Parish School would be happy to provide more details on how to make such a gift.

  4. Employer Matching Contributions. Many corporations will match an employee’s gift to a non-profit organization. Any matching gift will be combined with yours to determine the giving level at which you receive recognition.

  5. Bequests. Remember The Parish School in your will. It will assist us in serving future generations of children.

Can we make a gift in honor or in memory of someone, or to honor a specific individual? What about a gift for a special occasion?

Certainly. When appropriate, the honoree or family will be notified of the gift with a card from The Parish School.

How much should I give?

All we ask is that you be as generous as you can. Remember that tuition alone does not cover the cost of education at The Parish School. The shortfall per student is approximately $4,200. Obviously not everyone can afford to give at this level. Gifts range from $10 - $50,000. Additionally, it is important for us to retire the current building debt in order to continue future improvements and expansion.

Where does the profit from the gala go?

Money raised at our annual gala supports our operating costs and helps fund the gap between what we charge in tuition and what it actually costs to run the school.

Are there volunteer opportunities?
