History

In 1983, Robbin Parish, M.A., CCC-SLP opened The Parish School with six students. Her dream was to provide help, therapy and hope for children who have communication delays and learning differences. Robbin’s vision was a school designed like a Texas Hill Country summer camp, with a small student-teacher ratio which would provide a nurturing, safe environment for these children to thrive.

Anyone who ever talked to Robbin about the school understood her dream. From day one, teachers, speech-language pathologists, assistants and administration were unbelievably dedicated and loyal to the children and the school. Each year the school continues to grow from the original six students. Thousands of children have been served by The Parish School and touched by Robbin’s dream. Children who would have been left behind in a traditional school setting are now productive members of our community, full of self-confidence and a love for lifelong learning.
