Camp Admission

Register for Camp Social Superheroes

Campers are encouraged to register early, as the camp fills quickly. If forms are not received, your child’s spot on the camper list may be removed. Application packets must be completed and returned to the Camp Social Superheroes Director, Renee Attaway, or to The Parish School front office.

Camp Application

Application Packet

A completed application packet must be received in full to hold a spot and include the following:

  • Camp enrollment form
  • Camper information
  • Daily care
  • Social cognitive information
  • Social thinking checklist
  • Camper profile information
  • Acknowledgement of behavior policy form signed by parent and applicant

Application Review

Applications for Camp Social Superheroes are reviewed by the Director and Assistant Director who determine whether camp is appropriate for a student based on interviews, teacher questionnaire, communications with therapists, and a review of the application. All new students are asked to attend a camp consultation, which consists of an informal evaluation of the camper’s social needs. The cost for this consultation is $80 (payable by cash or check at the time of the consultation). The consultation usually takes 30 minutes and is conducted at The Parish School. Please email Renee Attaway to schedule this consultation.

Exclusions and Behavioral Policy

Should any information completed in this application be found to be falsified previous to and/or during the week of camp, The Parish School reserves the right to deny acceptance and/or to send the camper home in cases where camp is not the right match for a student to ensure the success of camp and campers (i.e. in instances including, but not limited to: excessive physical limitations, required care that is not possible given our staff ratio, significant behavioral disturbances, or other reasons determined by camp administration). Refunds may not be issued in these situations.
