How occupational therapy aids our students
Occupational therapy may be identified to help a student perform tasks necessary for participation in class or to aid learning. Parish teaching staff consults with occupational therapists at The Carruth Center, the pediatric therapy clinic located on The Parish School campus. Through our fully-integrated approach, teachers and occupational therapists at The Carruth Center, can create a plan to help the child participate across all environments.
Sometimes, a student may need additional supports than can be provided in the classroom. In these instances, a recommendation may be made for the child to receive further one-on-one occupational therapy services through The Carruth Center.
