Over the past year, the Margaret Noecker Nature Center council has worked hard to raise funds to bring The Parish School its first certified outdoor classroom. Named “Little Acorn Park,” funding has been secured for this project through individual and foundation gifts, and is ready for construction to begin this summer. A ceremonial groundbreaking will be held Monday, May 22 at 9:30 a.m. at The Parish School. All are welcome to attend!

Little Acorn Park will be built between the school’s Bur Oak and Chestnut Oak classroom buildings, taking the place of the current toddler playground, which is underutilized and poorly equipped to provide outdoor nature experiences.
